I have been doing a lot of reading on programming lately, and it appears that the Mondeo and the Fusion/MKZ are the same. Is this true?
I have installed a Sync 3 FCIM, APIM, and GWM in my 2014 MKZ. Everything is operating correctly so far, but I have module configuration errors. I pulled the as-built file and opened it in notepad, tried changing the ESN so that PTS would recognize it and allow me to do the programming straight from the website - but I keep getting an 'incompatible hardware' error when I try reading sync. Can anyone shed some light on what I need to do? I have PTS access, IDS 119.05, VCM, VCM2, VCM3, VCMM, DrewTech CarDAQ+, and Forscan. This is something I feel like I should be able to easily accomplish, but I am not a programmer so I need some help.
Thanks!
Fusion/MKZ/Mondeo all the same?

Re: Fusion/MKZ/Mondeo all the same?
Just FYI, the VCM/VCM2/VCM3/VCMM are all actual Ford diagnostic products, not chinese copies.
